Greetings,
I have just installed the latest version of PHP on a FreeBSD 3.4 box. This box was already running
apache+mod_ssl so I compiled a new httpd binary which includes apache+mod_ssl+mod_php+suexec. I then
stopped httpd, copied the new binary over the top, edited http.conf and php.ini and started httpd
again. All worked fine.
The problem arises when I try to restart httpd with 'apachectl restart', 'apachectl:
httpd restarted' is shown but httpd is not running.
This appears in system log:
pid 60082 (httpd), uid 0: exited on signal 11
This appears in the apache error_log:
[Wed Aug 9 12:33:25 2000] [warn] pid file /usr/local/httpd/logs/httpd.pid overwritten -- Unclean
shutdown of previous Apache run?
What am I doing wrong? Do I need a new apachectl script? Please help.
Thanks
Daniel Conlon
