strange word caracteres

We are building some forms so that people can load certain infotmation to an informix database, for later visualization. But we have a small problem. When the loaders sometimes try to load they get messages from informix saying that there was a problem loading (a problem when it trys to INSERT). We found out it was a strange Word2000 caracter... The SHIFT+ENTER caracter!!! Does anyone know who I can strip this special caracter? Thanks!!
