extending class then calling its original function

Hello when I extended a class and overwrite a function, can i after
overwriting that function call it so it does what it used to do?
for example in Delphi I say:
procedure TMyExtendedClass.Proc1;
begin
// do new stuff here
inherited; // calls the TMyClass.Proc1;
end;
