Hi again,
i think there's been a misunderstanding.
i set one dir to mode 0777 using the
ftp-client.
creating any files and directories within this
directory works fine.
but inside created directories i cant create other dirs
or files although the modes of the directories created with
php are set to 0777 (checked with ftp-client and ssh (ls -l at commandline)
so - if set to 0777 i think, i should be able to access
this dir and work inside.
are there other flags that can be set ?
one remark to the users set within the config of the virtual host in the
httpd.conf:
the daemon is started by his own user (apache) - ok.
the virtual host has set his own user and group to tell the system, who
is the user executing this script (of course maybe different from the
owner) - as i understood now, this only works with cgi.
described in the documentation, the dso-mode is faster, because
the interpreter is started once when the apache is started - not every
time, a script is executed.
so what's the reason that scripts from interpreters included as dso
can't use the user and group specified in the virtual host ??
greets
Kai
