Usually, the php response is very fast. It wasn't the php that slow down
the response. There is something in the script you're using. I don't know
what you have in the script. In my case, when I use cURL to connect to a
server somewhere on the internet. If the response is slow then I know it
failed. A moment later, I got a response saying it failed. I looked up on
Apache logs and the error message stated that cURL was working fine but the
hostname could not be resolved to an IP address. So, the end result in my
case was that the server, not hte php itself was searching for the IP
address to the hostname, it couldn't find it so it keep looking until it
timed out.
Get my drift?? So, in your case, it would have to be something somewhere
that is taking a while. Or it could be the loop that had gone indefinite
and PHP timed it out. I don't know for sure before I haven't seen your
script.
