I just installed PHP4 as a dynamic module on a Linux machine running
Mandrake 7.1.
The configure line I used was:
./configure --with-mysql --with-apxs
and everything works fine. I also entered:
make install
and everything compiled fine. The problem is when I tried to restart
httpd with:
apachectl restart
I get an error message stating:
/usr/sbin/apachectl: line 171: 5273 Segmentation fault (core dumped)
$HTTPD
This only happens when I adjust the httpd.conf on the line with:
LoadModule php4 modules/libphp4.so
If I substitute php3 for php4, everything works fine.
Can anyone help me out here? I've been trying this for the past 3 days,
re-installing and what not.
Thanks.
