Hi all...
For the moment, my host doesn't support GD, but they're working on it. I'd
like to assemble heading images from a range of pre-built smaller GIFs (a-z,
0-9, etc).
It's easy enough for me to write something like:
<IMG SRC="h.gif" />
<IMG SRC="e.gif" />
<IMG SRC="l.gif" />
<IMG SRC="l.gif" />
<IMG SRC="o.gif" />
... Or even write a function that write the HTML code for me... but I
shudder at the amount of server calls, the sluggish speed, needless waiting,
etc etc.
So, I was hoping to be able to grab h.gif, e.gif, l.gif and o.gif, and join
them all together to make a single gif/jpg/png, and call it with:
<IMG SRC="heading.php?str=hello" />
But my guess is that I'm completely outta luck until the host brings their
new servers online.
Is that about the size of it?
Justin
