This is because your email program still "threaded" or associated the email
with another thread, completely screwing up the way in which new messages
are grouped together in threads with most decent email programs.
When you send a NEW TOPIC to the list, you should start with a new, clean
email by clicking "new message" in your email program, and address it to the
right address.
Unfortunately erasing the subject line and text isn't enough, and it's bad
etiquette to mess up such a high-volume list in this way.

It is, and we do. People like Jason (with many others) help HUNDREDS of
people a day. The fact that we answer so many emails and spend so much time
in here can mean that sometimes we ARE a little rude/abrupt/frustrated.
I did it once too, got told off, and now I don't do it -- it's all about
learning. :)
