First, use a better subject line. Many experts have just deleted your email
un-read.

Knowing that "stage database" will always have more records is useful...
But can records be *changed* in "stage database" and then have to be put
into the other one?
Can records in the *other* database change?
If it's possible that *both* copies of the same record changed, which one do
I pick? Are they time-stamped? Is "staged" always "better" (or
"worse")?
Should I just flip a coin? Should I replace any NULL values with non-NULLs
and quit? How about I just choose the value of every other field from each
database and use that? I'm getting ridiculous, but you've really not
clearly defined what your application should do, and, really, there's no way
in the world we could "guess" and get it right.

What status where how? What do you mean by status?
If your real problem is that you have to answer "I don't know" to all the
above, then there's nothing we can do to help you, really... You'll need to
do some powerful thinking, or force your boss/client into doing it, which is
even harder, and that's not really something to be done by a mailing list.
