Hi,
I posted smthing quite similar to this a couple messages ago - sorry for
the repost, still no progress...................
I tried to install the PHP/Apache?mysql combination on my PC, running RH
Linux 6.2. Mysql works fine, then i compile PHP and apache as described
in
http://www.devshed.com/Talk/Forums/Forum15/HTML/000020.html
(with a few changes to suit my configuration). But when i try to run
apache using apachectl start (or httpd), it keeps giving me the same
error message:
Cannot load /usr/local/apache/libexec/libphp4.so into server:
/usr/local/apache/libexec/libphp4.so:
undefined symbol: uncompress
I have gone over the install many time with different options, but
always the same result. When I uncomment the LoadMdule and AddModule
line for PHP, Apache seems to work fine, so it must have smthing to do
with my PHP installation.
I really am not quite sure what to do anymore. SHould I try to reinstall
Linux ? Given i have tried this install so many times, maybe smthing
would happen :<
