Hi there,
I've been fiddling with the COM extensions and I've got it activating my
application and printing the file I want using the internal functions.
However, I want to guarantee the printer and tray on the printer used by the
script. Is this possible? At the moment - our solution involves creating two
service users who we set up with the correct default printer (which is set
to print to the correct tray depending) ... one for each tray. Then the
script that activates the reports runs under one of the users (depending on
which tray) ...
Is there any way to force this via COM? We don't want to be restricted to
service users ... I can't find anything on Microsoft about controlling
printers via COM ... so I'm hoping that someone here has some experience!
Note: The application we're using via COM has no functions to control
printers ... only to print ... would make life a lot easier if it did have
them!
Cheers,
Michael.
