Katja,
Look at a web page with phpinfo() in it, that will tell you where PHP is expecting php.ini to be.

Hi, I'm sorry to disturd, but maybe you can help me :) ? I'm having problems with using PHP-4.2.2 with Apache_1.3.26 on Linux. Those works just fine separetaly, but I'm getting the following error: Fatal error: Failed opening required 'includes/application_top.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/php4/lib/php') in /usr/local/apache/htdocs/Katja/cart1/DEFAULT.PHP on line 13 It seems like that php can't acsess /etc/php.ini file because none of changes in this file effect the program. Php is configured with option '--with-config-file-path=/etc' I've checked that the rigth user have an access to read/write in the php.ini file. I cannot understand where php gets this path from '.:/usr/local/php4/lib/php', it's not in the php.ini file. And this include_path is used even if I try to use absolute path in include command. Appreciate any help. Katja
