I wrote a script that does this not too long ago. Feel free to check it out and download. This script uses class.Htpasswd. I've only included the add and delete options. http://ralph.netraiser.com/scripts.phtml I have not had the chance to document it, but it should get you off to a good start. -----Original Message----- From: Andrew [mailto:fisherres@msn.com] Sent: Sunday, August 13, 2000 8:26 PM To: PHP General Subject: [PHP] htpasswd Hello, I have a .htpasswd file which has usernames and passwords for the specified people I'd like to grant access to. I'm using http authentication because I'd like to avoid all the hassles w/ sessions (not that I dislike them, just I'd have to redesign my site's architecture). What I want to do is allow PHP to manipulate this file by adding, editing, and deleting users. I know I can do this by using htpasswd, but how can I do this using PHP? Thanks!
