Setup is RedHat 6.2 with the stock Apache and mod_perl
RPM's installed (and apache_devel), MySQL installed via
RPM's from mysql.com.
Downloaded latest php4, gd, and bcmath.
Unmodified gd Makefile.
my config options for php are:
--with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs
--with-config-file-path=/etc/httpd/conf
--enable-versioning
--with-mysql=/usr
--enable-ftp
--with-gd=/usr/local/gd-1.8.3
--enable-bcmath=yes
--disable-debug
--enable-memory-limit=yes
--enable-track-vars
make, make install. In httpd.conf change module path
and move next to where the php3 Load and AddModule where.
Copy php.ini-dist to /etc/httpd/conf as php.ini
run httpd, but crashes even before anything can get written
to the error_log.
Just discovered !!
If I change --with-mysql=/usr to --with-mysql in otherwords
use the internal mysql support apache stays running.
Any suggestions ?
TIA !!
