Try the little load-test utility bundled with apache...
/path/to/apache/bin/ab -n 100 http://localhost/mypage.phtml
This command will spawn 100 requests to your server. You can tune the number of concurrent connections with the -c option.

Hello! I'd like to test the site I have created and I want to make 100 or so connections to my http://localhost. Making a 'for' loop with fopen("http://localhost","r") simulates 100 connections that are succesive and not simultaneous. Any idea? I thought of a shell script, but no idea to write it... And it's pretty urgent... Thanks!
