What's the permissions set for mysql.sock? Alberto Brea wrote:

I have just installed Apache, PHP and MySQL, but when I try to do: mysql_connect($localhost,$mysqlusr); there is an error message like this: "MySQL Connection Failed: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysql/mysql.sock' (111)" Now, in /var/run/mysql there is in fact a file called mysql.sock Could anybody please tell me what I'm doing wrong?
