Hi,
Since you want to tightly integrate into your exisiting environment, my
guess is that you'll have to custom build something... however, it doesn't
have to complex.
For example, you could let them still upload the articles in the existing
fashion (or through an upload form) into a directory. The index page could
dig down through the directory(ies) and:
- compile a link list of the most recent 10 articles
- grab the first 30 words, or 500 characters of each article and display
"more" links
- break the list of files into categories, based on file naming conventions
or directory structure
- etc etc
It's pretty easy stuff... all based on the structure of your files and
directories...
Certainly wouldn't warrant the investment of time in learning/adapting a new
CMS.
Start by getting your hands dirty with things like listing all files within
a directory, sorting them by date, then reading the contents of somes file
into a variable, trimming it to 30 words or whatever.
If you get stuck, I'm sure plenty of us can help with specific questions.
