Hi there,
Have you have any luck? I recently had that problem and posted on the list.
The "static" php4 installation method (the one you're doing) seems alittle
buggy, the "dynamic" one seems ok (refer to the php4 INSTALL doc). Check out
the marc.theaims.group.com archive, the ones with "HELP! php4 module" should
give you some hints.
Let me know if --activate-module starts working for you, cuz I'm having trouble
with --activate-module=src/modules/ssl/libssl.a.
