BTW, just an idea for a work-around:
Instead of prompting the user to push the back button, you could either code a
hidden form (in which you fill all the data entered already by the user) with a
submit ("self-made-back") button, which calls the former page again with all the
field contents pre-set. Or you pass the data entered via an URL ("please check
your data entered and therefor go _back_ ")back to the first page. (Just the 2
ways to pass the data back to the first page). Perhaps working with session
causes the browser somehow to reload every page...)

Subject: [PHP-GENERAL] Sessions and Forms
Security Level:? Internal
Hey all,
Does anyone know if setting a session has any effect on forms. when I put
session_start() at the top of my files with a form in, it does not keep the
values for the form when pressing back. i.e. if someone makes a mistake on a
form and has to go back the values they had entered are gone. However if I
take the session_start() out again and press back everything is fine.
Thanks a million
Phil
