This is because the transperent session management in PHP is pretty buggy.
I've been working a lot with it, and experinced similar problems. Besides
the quotes which is missing, you may work around this by writing the FORM
tag with php. So it would be:
<?="<form action=\"login_new.html\" method=\"post\">"?>
I know that a lot of the problems with transperent sessions has been solved
in the up comming release 4.0.2 of PHP. But generally, transperent sessions
is slow and it is much faster to just to add the session id yourself. Though
it is not as cool/smart as the transperent sessions.
