Right on Ben. I've been developing web sites since 96'. Since then I've
tried every single HTML editor out there for Windows, MAC, and Linux. I
originally started using HotDog, which was the hottest thing back then, I've
also tried the editors that you mention.
I discovered Homsite back in 97', even before it was aquired by Allaire.
Even to this day, I always try whatever editor comes into the scene, and
none compare to Homesite. And those that do come close, have definately
copied Homesite.

Agreed, I have tried Ultraedit, Coffeecup and Textpad, but Homesite is much
better than all of these. The interface although similar (I was told all the
other three "COPY" Homesite's interface -- opened-files tabs and what not)
is much more customizable and friendly looking. On a 1024 resolution, my
homesite looks neatest.
All your color coding can be customized, and you can even add your
quick-edit buttons. Click on a button and it writes PHP syntax.
I used Ultraedit first, converted to HS, then tried COffeecup (which btw is
the highest downloaded editor on CNET) and textpad because HS I have to
licence etc. But its worth every penny -- I am back to HS now.
My 2 cents,
Ben
