db file on php3

Hi.. I have a problem.. Using authorize with DB (Barkley db2) on Apache 1.3.12 + php-3.0.16, .htaccess works good with mod_auth_db but command "dbmopen" on php3. It does not recognize db file.. When compling apache+php3, as for apache , I used mod_auth_db and for php3 , I used " ./configure --with-db2". While compling it was patched.. I was working better with gdbm file. But bad thing was apache could not recognize gdbm file for authorization with .htaccess.. Seems like mod_auth_dbm does not support gdbm file..... Error messages are follows....
