hi all
well i have tried and tried but cannot get the above combo working for local development..
i have been successfully using win98/apache/php3/mysql but have upgraded and now find myself stuck...all the info i can find is relating to installing php3 etc which mentions addtype with the php3 mime type etc but nothing about where the dll's go this time or do the addtype change just to php or what?
i have searched and searched but nothing...
mysql is running fine except not as a service ( i have to manually start it as a service) and apache seems to run fine as a service.
when i try to look for localhost in IE5 or opera i just get php dos screen running thru a bunch of stuff and then closing like it is running a batch file or something .....
i know i am close but still need a push along...
can someone pls explain how they have configured the httpd.conf file in apache and the php.ini please....
i have to use w2k for work so cannot use linux.....
i have php installed in c:/php and mysql in c:/mysql and apache in it's default location under program files...
my web folder is at c:/web (spooky...)
php is - php-4.0.1pl2-Win32
apache is 1.3.12
many thanks
jason
