need help in resolving certain issues

hi, i have 2 issues 1. the new line character is not functioning!!!! eg <? session_start(); session_register("userid"); ?> <html> <title>First Page</title> <body> Welcome <? echo "$txtname from $REMOTE_ADDR\n"; $userid=$txtname; echo "Welcome $userid again\n"; ?> <a href=./second.php>second </a> </body> </html> The output i get is (in a single continuous line) "Welcome dsd from 172.16.31.74 SID= Welcome dsd again second " 2.
