Parsing XML files from remote host

Greets, a newbie PHP user asking for some help here :) I need to parse an XML file from another server into my PHP script. I've found a lot of info on how to do this locally, but I don't see anywhere on how to parse a remote file, something like http://server/my.xml or http://server/my.php3?result=xmloutput (assuming reuslt is xml output), anyone have a good link to read up on this remote thing specifically? Thanks in advance! -gs
