More Form Processing

I tried using $HTTP_POST_VARS as Dean suggested to process an HTML form,
but no luck. I can't get any values out of it. If I try
$HTTP_POST_VARS[total_due], $HTTP_POST_VARS["total_due"],
$HTTP_POST_VARS[0], or try to loop through key and value pairs. My form
action is set to the script itself (is this my problem?), but it
includes a file that does the processing when submitted. Is it possible
something in my php3.ini file is incorrect? I'm stumped by this one. I'm
sure it's something simple... Thanks,
