Reading remote HTML results

Greets, I am (newbie) trying to read webpage results from a URL and it's not exactly working. I am able to read from a file using fopen, but what I really need is to read dynamic results, the same one that people see in the browser, such as http://server/mystats.php3?id=myid That's not an actual file, so what function would I use to read the result stream?
