Re: PHP & RTF

I don't know how much use this is for your needs, but I have found Openjade and DocBook to be excellent tools for creating RTF files from XML sources. PHP can be the scripting language used to tie things together, manipulate HTML/XML etc, but basically this solution is "outside" of PHP I suppose.
