hi,
try something like
<form name="form1">
<select name="menu1"
onChange="MM_jumpMenu('parent.frames[\'town\']',this,0)">
<option selected>Choose your favorite town</option>
<option value="mytown_nav.php3?city=Vienna">Vienna</option>
<option value="mytown_nav.php3?city=Munich">Munich</option>
<option value="mytown_nav.php3?city=Madrid">Madrid</option>
</select>
</form>
and then the page is reloaded and you know the users choice.
on the other hand if your mysql-table isnt to big you can do this
also by:
a) execute the query
b) use javascript to do the rest for you
