go to php.net there's a function to give you a file type, just write then
if(theFunc_whichIdontRememberTheName($theFileUploaded) == ".gif")
proceed();
else
GetTheHeckOutHea();
just check it there...
Otherwise you could just search for a dot (".") in the file name and then
proceed only if whatever after that dot is corresponding to what you need..

i tried to upload some images, using a html form and the php copy function.
How can i prevent users form uploading other file types than gif and jpeg?
