If I rember it well those scripts should take the actual browser size into account (meaning margins, borders etc) which is different for every platform (ughhhh). I agree. I run 2 19" monitors - each at 1280x1024. I've found that javascripts that maximize my window tend to throw the scroll bars and title bar off the monitor. Drives me crazy...
