I had to do something similiar once. I ended up taking the data i wanted
to pass and rotating it up or down a specific number of places per letter.
then i added a colon and grab a 24 character section of the md5() hash based
on the value of the first letter. It's mostly security through obscurity,
but without access to the code it would be more work to figure out than the
protected resource was worth.
