Because all of your field names are overwriting each other until the last one wins.
name="date"
This needs to be different for each field so PHP can assign that name as the variable.

Hey all. Got a problem with I'm sure a simple solution:: In this test form when I submit and insert into my db, only the last select field get entered; i.e. in this case the day value of 25. <form name="form1" method="post" action=""> Year <select name="date" onSelect="return check_submit()"><option selected value=2002>2002</option></select> Month <select name="date"><option selected value=12>12</option></select> Day <select name="date"><option selected value=25>25</option></select> <input type="submit" name="textfield"> </form> Why does this happen? In Cold Fusion I'm able to refer to the three selects as #date# and it returns 20021225 as expected. Any ideas? Thanks, --Noah --
