My guess is that the new lines are there, but since you're (most likely)
outputting HTML, you don't see them. Take at look at the br HTML tag.

Hi everybody I am totally new to PHP, and I have a problem with the Print statement. When I send a newline using "\n" nothing happens. I cannot get any linebreaks into my code. The following line is copied from the PHP Manual, and is sopposed to give me
the text split into 3 lines, but they come out as one line. echo "This spans\nmultiple lines. The newlines will be\noutput as well."; Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong?
