Hello all.
I'm new to PHP (having worked with Cold Fusion, previously), so this may
seem like a rather simple question but....
I am using PHP4 and PostgreSQL. I have a Database (Products) that has a
field titled "Item_Description", holding various points of information about
a single "Item".
For each "Item", I want to be able to display the "Item_Description" as
points in an unordered list. I have placed the character "~" between each
point that needs to be seperated in the "Item_Description" field.
Example of what's in the database now:
Item: soda
Item_Descritpion: sweet~low in sodium~100 calories per serving~carbonated
I want to be able to output this as:
soda
* sweet
* low in sodium
* 100 calories per serving
* carbonated
...Now the question... How do I get PHP/PostgreSQL to replace each "~" with
"<LI>", and just output all of the other text as-is? Each "Item" has a
varying amount of points to display, so I can not depend on a constant
number of "~" characters being encountered for each of them.
I hope that that explination was clear.
Thanks in advance for the help!
