highlight_string for VB, CPP or .NET source code?

Hello all PHP offers the fantastic function ‘highlight_string’ to highlight PHP source code. I was wondering whether anyone had written a function to highlight Visual Basic, CPP or .NET source code. Alternatively, would anyone have any suggestions on how to write such a function. Ideally, the output of this function / these functions would look very similar to that of ‘highlight_string’.
