Here is how the numbers work for file permissions.
644 = "rw-r--r--"
0 --- no access
1 --x execute
2 -w- write
3 -wx write and execute
4 r-- read
5 r-x read and execute
6 rw- read and write
7 rwx read write execute

HI ALL,
i am getting the result as 644 when i execute the following
command.
can anyone please tell me what file permission does 644
stand for and what should i do to make my file readable?
$filename = '\bdoi_change\sundar.html';
printf("%o",(fileperms("\bdoi_change\andar.html") & 0777));

diksha.
