try to always use square brackets when accessing an array element, like
if (is_numeric($_POST["gamt_$i"]) or empty($_POST["gamt_$i"]))
or this:
if (is_numeric($_POST["gamt_$i"]) || empty($_POST["gamt_$i"]))
