Hey folks. I've got two database questions. Thanks in advance if you can help me out. -Jack 1- Can anyone tell me if the code to connect to an ODBC database is (relatively) the same as connecting to a MySQL database, and how so? 2- Can anyone tell me where to get MySQL for windows? My web server is unix but the computer I write my scripts on is Win98. I can't seem to find the install for it anywhere! Thanks again if you can help. -JackHi Jack, 1 - The code to *connect* is relatively the same, but not the code to query the database, get the result set and all that. Connecting is just using odbc_connect() or mysql_connect(). Everything after that is very different. 2 - Try getting it from http://www.mysql.com . If you are going to use MySQL running on a Windows system and you are also going to run PHP on Windows, just use the native mysql_* functions. In my opinion is just plain faster to develop.
