Configure with register_globals on

I am running OS X 10.2 and am trying to work with PHP and Adobe GoLive. GoLive tells me that I don't have PHP running, which I do, and on Adobe's site someone said that register_globals needs to be on. I know that this is not something that should be done, but I want to see if this is the problem with GoLive saying PHP is not installed. I don't have a php.ini file to change the values for register_globals to be on, so what do I need to add when I run configure to have register_globals turned on? Thanks, Mike
