I've tried both. I think the server has 4.2.3. For older php version: $HTTP_SERVER_VARS['HTTP_REFERER']; Newer: $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER']; Or you can usually do: echo $HTTP_REFERER; I don't think there is even a way of disabling it in the php.ini warm regards, Sebastian - [BBR] Gaming Clan http://www.broadbandreports.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Stephen" <webmaster@melchior.us> To: "PHP List" <php-general@lists.php.net> Sent: Monday, March 10, 2003 7:45 PM Subject: [PHP] Enabling HTTP_REFERER For some reason my webhost doesn't allow the HTTP_REFERER variable. I call it up and it's empty, so I did a print_r($HTTP_SERVER_VARS); and there wasn't a variable called HTTP_REFERER. I've heard that some servers disable it. Since I have a dedicated server, how can I enable this variable again?
