Try having your <table> with a fixed width as well:
Ex.
<table width="600">
then with your columns:
<td width="100"></td>
<td width="500"></td>
I think you also have to take note of your "cellspacing" and "
cellpadding"... (Default is "3", I think.)
And, yes, this has nothing to do with PHP ;)
