If you're trying to do what I think you're trying to do (judging by your
mail),
I think you're missing the point of PHP - its not a client-side script. It
is executed on the server, then the source code is stripped from the file,
and only the results send to the browser. There is no way to trigger any
event on the client side except by using JavaScript, since that is the
language that a web browser understands. JavaScript questions are best
directed to a JavaScript list.
To the best of my knowledge, you cannot write a function in C and "call" it
with PHP. You could write a program in C, and have PHP exec() the program
behind the scenes, and read its responses. This is executing a program
though,
not calling a function, so I don't know if it is quite what you meant.
