Correct. What it doesn't tell you, because Macromedia want everyone to use
Flash, is that people who don't have Flash will see a "content on this page
requires a plugin for x-macromedia-flash" etc and be asked to download
the plugin. I'd have thought that this is what we're trying to avoid, by
detecting whether they have Flash or not. :)
