$_POST Error

Hi ,
I am sending some varibles from one html to another using hidden variable.. and in php script, we
assign using $_POST["id"] method..
One of the script (8th of the 10th) is giving the output of this variable as "2id=2" where
2 is the id value and id is the form name and this form values are correct where I get it from
previous page as I can see this
however expected result should be "2"
Is there any way i can get the value correctly.. the php version is 4.1
