Hello.
I just recently upgraded my Linux machine with OpenSSL 0.9.7a and
recompiled the batch of programs using openssl.
I run php 4.3.2RC1 and I have tried 4.3.1 too but there is still
problems.
The problem is when running something, well anything with the CLI php. I
can do a "php -v" and it takes forever. It goes through but it holds for
about 10-20 sec before it gives me the version output and ends.
Running PHP as normal with Apache 2.0.45 and php pages goes fine.
I run a "strace php -v" just to see if I could get anything usefull of
it but I'm no programmer and I can't make anything out of it. I did find
out where it stops and holds for the 10-20 sec. I'm give the output
below:

As far as I can tell the "read(3, ..." takes forever to run. I have no
clue to why this is. I also noted that it tries to read every singel
library from my mysql/lib first.
PHP was compiled with the following configure arguments:
# ./configure --with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs --with-zlib
--with-gd --with-jpeg-dir --with-png-dir --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql
--with-mm --enable-sysvmsg --enable-sysvsem --enable-sysvshm
--enable-track-vars --enable-force-cgi-redirect --with-gettext
