There is a command named TOP that you may use to fetch only the headers of
a messages. Then you just need to find the Subject header in the response.
You may want to try this PHP POP3 class that has a function named
RetrieveMessage. If you pass a negative number as the number of message
lines, it will only return the header lines in a array.
