Perhaps looking at a real live example and code (combined) would help you get beyond you problem. Take a look at a site I'm working on: http://www.healthyproductsplus.com/inv/products.php at the bottom are similar 'previous' and 'next' links. If you want I'll send some code snippets directly to you. -----Original Message----- From: Awlad Hussain <php@sheridan-phoenix.com> To: php-general@lists.php.net <php-general@lists.php.net> Date: Monday, April 14, 2003 5:21 AM Subject: [PHP] Record Paging << Prev Next >> I like to know how the record paging works for phpbb forum (http://www.phpbb.com)? For example when you search for a string and the results are in more than one pages... on their site when you click on next >> on the status bar you can see that they don't pass the seach string rather a search_id. How is the search id gets created??? How is this done? any idea? Anyone knows any articles? i don't really need php codes for paging... I like to understand how it works :) Thanks in advance -awlad
