I used the example file you gave me:
16-Apr-03,7.99,8.33,7.97,8,709900

With the script which I gave you. And recieved this output:
Apr -> 3
Mar -> 5
Array ( [0] => Apr [1] => [2] => [3] => Mar [4] => [5] => [6] => [7] => )
April = 3 in total, 1 with "Apr" followed by 2 with "null."
March = 5 in total, 1 with "Mar" followed by 4 with "null."
Is this not correct?
