Hi,
I have a weird question. I tried searching the net for it but i cant find anything useful.
Is it possible to catch an email on the server using PHP? This is my problem: I have a dynamic site in php, it has news items that are updated from a mysql database, put there using a backoffice application i built. Would it be possible to send an email to an email account on the domain where my site is hosted, and having a script to "catch" it and add it to the database?
An email like this, for example:
To: newsadd@mydomain.com
Subject: Title of the news here
Content:
Today we saw an increase, blah blah...
This news item would automatically be inserted to the site the moment it got there.
Is this even remotely possible? How? Cron Jobs? (whatever they are :-P)
Thanks.
